KRL Measuring Device

The KRL method is a standardised method according to DIN EN 17668.

Its use for determining the moisture content of screeds is described in detail in TKB leaflet 18.

The KRL method can be used to determine the corresponding relative humidity (RH) of a caulking sample and serve as a reliable indicator of the moisture condition of a screed before it is laid.

Properties

the KRL method offers numerous advantages, for example, meaningful results can be obtained even if the material type of the screed is not known.

Since the KRL method does not require an exact material weight, there are no measurement errors due to weighing errors and
no additional hazardous materials, such as calcium carbide ampoules, are required.
